Own Spooky Pinball's beautiful Scooby-Doo Pinball Machine and have trouble with your plunger not launching balls into play properly?  You are not alone.

The plunger Spooky chose for this is forked, usually not an issue; however, part of the assembly is left attached to nothing.  The slack allows the forks to shift during impact. They begin to misalign, widen, and cause the balls to stop launching into the play field properly. Slow-motion videos show the forks hitting balls unevenly despite being cranked up to full power.

This brings us to the band aid: this kit.  The kit includes two pieces: the plunger stabilizer and the fork stabilizer.

The fork stabilizer covers both forks, bringing them to the proper width and dispersing the impact evenly onto the ball. This is meant to make up for the slack that has developed with the forks and keep you playing. You should still reach out to spooky support and obtain a new plunger assembly.

The plunger stabilizer is attached to the underside of the play field, providing a piece of the plunger assembly that hangs free, something solid to attach itself. This is meant to stabilize the assembly to keep it from shifting further.

After a hundred games or more of testing with this kit, the balls launch perfectly every single time.  I have not seen a single failure since the installation.  I recommend dialing the plunger power down between 60% and 80% after installation.

See photos for installation details. Yes, there are other stabilizers sold individually for far more money.  I don't see the need to use more expensive carbon fiber or have a massive fork cover when a sleeker design will suffice.

Commonly installed alongside general maintenance tools like the leveler and flipper gauge. Many Scooby-Doo owners also pick up TPU trays and corner protectors to protect their investment during adjustments.

*This listing is for 1 plunger assembly stabilizer kit (screws included) and 2 (1 black 1 gray) fork striker brackets.  No other items pictured are included.

Product FAQ

Will this stabilizer kit fit my Scooby-Doo pinball machine?

Yes — it’s engineered for the 2023 Spooky Scooby-Doo. It fits the factory fork assembly with no extra hardware required.

Is the installation difficult?

No — follow photo examples: remove the factory screws, align the stabilizer, pre-drill holes to attach the stabilizer to the playfield, and use the included screws to attach. Most owners complete it in under 10 minutes with basic tools.

Does it change gameplay or void warranty?

It doesn’t alter gameplay; it reduces fork misalignment and wobble for smoother ball feeds and keeps the fork mechanism from jiggling more loosely over time. Installation is non-destructive, so it won’t void your warranty. Be careful not to drill too deep for the screw holes in the playfield.
